My story

To me, everyone's life is their best story. Here, I wrote mine. I was born in one of the small towns of Ordu province of Turkey. I was the second child of my family. I lived my childhood and began primary school there. After years, I, with my family, moved to Ankara in 1990 to have a better education. I attended the last year of primary school and junior high school in Ankara. I was always one of the successful students of the class. In the last year of junior high school, upon my math teacher's advice, I took the military school admission exam and succeeded in it. Thereby, subsequent to graduation from junior high school, I attended Kuleli Miltary High School. It was a historic, glorious and reputable school where officers of the future were grown up. I'm always proud of being an alumnus of Kuleli Military High School. Following graduation from Kuleli, I attended Military Academy where I learned how to be an officer and a leader. Then, years passed by and I graduated as a young "lieutenant". That way, I began my professional career in 2002 as an army officer. Throughout my military career, I served in commando, infantry and training units. I led units from platoon to company. Besides, I served as a project officer at brigade and army headquarters. The very latest rank of me was "senior captain". After fulfilling the compulsory period of service, I resigned from the army on 14th of January 2015 and began the doctorate in Business Administration at the Başkent University. In that period of time, I worked as a "security operations and quality specialist" at Securitas Security Services Corporation as well. As a security operations and quality specialist, I designed and managed security projects, systems, and processes, such as security scan, risk assessment, mitigation, production and optimization of security solutions, sustainability and quality control. Besides that, I took part in "Turkey Resilience Project in Response to The Syria Crisis" as a trainer and mentor. This project was organized by the United Nations Development Programme and funded by the European Union.  I have a bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, a master's degree in Defense Management, and a Ph.D. degree in Business Administration. Moreover, I have considerable experience in scientific research. My studies were published by national and international academic journals, such as Korean Journal of Defense Analysis, Educational Sciences: Theory & Practice, Journal of Advanced Nursing, Amme İdaresi Dergisi, and Asian Journal of Business Ethics. I'm able to conduct both qualitative and quantitative social research. My area of expertise is "management" with a specific interest in leadership, organizational behavior, and military psychology.
